Check-in on Bloc: The Clapham Grand, Clapham
I went to The Clapham Grand on Saturday night to celebrate a friends’ recent move to London. For those of you that haven’t been to The Grand yet, it’s handily located opposite Clapham Junction train station so makes for easy access from wherever you’re based in London.
What few people know is that a ‘Forbidden Nights’ themed event runs before the club opens. Over 300 girls get down early to watch a male variety show so you can expect plenty of hen dos, birthday parties and girls’ nights out. I got the chance to speak to a couple of girls on the evening and they were raving about it, so I suppose all I can do is recommend you check it out if that’s your kinda thing.
The Grand itself boasts a converted theatre layout. There’s a main stage that features the DJ booth and various performers such as fire breathers and circus acts. There’s also boxes all around the balcony if you fancy a more VIP-style evening. What’s also great about the venue is how rapid the drink service is. We never waited more than a couple of minutes – the bartenders don’t mess about and the drinks are pretty cheap too – a perk seeing as there’s still 10 days to go until payday.
So if you’re up for The Clapham Grand this weekend, make sure you check-in on Bloc by searching for The Clapham Grand, Clapham. You can also book your Uber to and from the venue by using our promotional code ‘BLOC’ – which will get you £15 off your first ride.
