The Best Pubs in Fulham

The Best Pubs in Fulham

Fulham’s two main roads: The Fulham Road and King’s Road play host to many vibrant, quirky little drinking spots but there are also plenty of hidden gems sprinkled in between.

Affectionately known as Chelsea’s slightly less eccentric neighbour, this South West London hotspot is a delightful frequent for pub-goers, dog owners and foodies alike.

And a little word of advice, always, always, ALWAYS check whether Chelsea are playing at home or not. If they are then expect a completely different experience than normal (not usually for the better).

We’ve compiled a list of the best pubs in Fulham which cater for all needs and will leave you no short of options to explore. Take a look through our list below and decide which satisfies your thirst the most – then tag us on Instagram @getonbloc so we can get in on the action with you!

If you visit one of these pubs in Fulham, don’t forget to check-in on Bloc so you can earn free rewards on rewards.getonbloc.com.

The Durrell Arms, Fulham

The Durrell Arms takes the top spot on our list of the best pubs in Fulham because it has something for everyone.

Sunday roast lovers won’t be left disappointed – the portion sizes are generous and a side boat of gravy for a pour-at-your-own-will type scenario leaves visitors’ appetites most satisfied.

Throughout the day, many lagers can be sampled on tap in a quiet, relaxed setting before night fall descends and live music takes over the venue. There’s even a little boogie to be enjoyed on Friday and Saturday nights!

But probably our favourite thing about The Durrell Arms is its standing as the best pub in Fulham to watch live sport.

There’s a large projector room at the back, and many little booths in the front room where you can book a table with your very own private screen. The sound system is decent too, giving you as-close-to-the-real-thing experience as you can.

Book your table for an upcoming weekend or Champions League night, you won’t be left disappointed!

The Brook House, Fulham

The Brook House is one for the foodies. It feels more like a restaurant than a pub and the food is phenomenal. Prince Harry has been spotted a few times at this gastropub, so if it’s good enough for (can we say royalty anymore?), then it’s good enough for us – you know what we mean.

The Brook House is just off Eel Brook common so it’s a lovely setting and perfect for a walk before or after. There’s also a few tables and chairs outside the front of the pub so you can have a drink and watch the world go by.

If you’re after a romantic evening and don’t want to spend a fortune in Central, then the Brook House is an amazing option as the venue is furnished with so much taste. Dine under the fairy lights and taste the best of Fulham.

The Harwood Arms, Fulham

Not your typical drinkery – The Harwood Arms is actually London’s only michelin-starred pub.

Tucked away in the back streets of Fulham, a mere stone’s throw away from Stamford Bridge, this little gem prides itself on delivering the “very best of British produce with a focus on game and wild food.”

Set menus are priced at £65 for 3 courses or £50 for 2, while Sunday Roasts are also available and it goes without saying you won’t find a better dish in the area. Make sure to book your table in advance, it gets very busy with a long wait list!

Have to try: London’s only Michellin star awarded pub
Perfect for: Sunday Roast
Approx price for 2 people: £150

The White Horse, Fulham

Ah the famous Sloany pony, definitely one of our favourites. This famous Fulham establishment (located in Parsons Green) is where most of Fulham tend to hang out at some point or another. The front facing beer garden is famous as a sun trap and is always super busy, so unless it’s raining you’ll struggle to find a seat. But most people stand anyway and mingle between groups.

The inside is cosy and also usually packed with little seating, but it’s a fun pub to drink at so you don’t really want to be sitting with how often you’ll want to get to the bar.

The food is actually really good as well, especially the BBQ in the summer that’s located in the garden – you’ll just probably need to eat standing up.

The property owners of Fulham and the younger generation drink here so it’s a great mix of people. It’s likely you’ll learn a thing or two if you get chatting to some of the veterans in the garden, like we have so many times in the past.

If you’re after a fun pub, this is the place to go.

Have to try: Burger from the BBQ in the summer
Perfect for: Drinking in the sun & meeting friends
Approx price for 2 people: £50

The Cock Tavern, Fulham

On the hunt for a cosy, warming pub to warm your cockles in the winter?

The Cock Tavern is the perfect spot with an open fire and plenty of board games for you to choose from.

It’s perfect for a date night in Fulham – grab your loved one, book a table, sample a lager and work your way through the games on offer. There’s also a dart board you can use which adds to the overall charm. It feels very nostalgic here.

Have to try: Board game roulette
Perfect for: Date Night
Approx price for 2 people: £40

The Rose, Fulham

The Rose is known as the village pub by locals of Fulham. It’s a perfect family-friendly pub that’s got it all – a great beer garden with heaters, incredible food and enough seating for everyone in your party.

The Rose is actually a very good option if you’re planning a birthday, reunion or any event with large numbers as The Rose will be able to cater for you due to its size. We’re not 100% sure but we think it might have the biggest beer garden in Fulham.

The other thing we love most about The Rose is their focus on the food. It’s always consistently good and they throw foodie events such as BBQ summer nights.

Have to try: Saturday brunch
Perfect for: Large group bookings & al fresco drinks
Approx price for 2 people: £60

The Fulham Mitre, Fulham

The Fulham Mitre is a relaxed and welcoming little boozer just a short stroll from Fulham Broadway station.

Recently refurbished in 202, The Mitre covers everything that makes a pub experience what it is – delicious food (freshly prepared) and a vast array of beers, wines and spirits to choose frm.

There’s also a lovely little beer garden outback which comes into its own on summer days and in the evenings with skylights transforming it into a little corner of paradise.

It’s also a well known destination for 6 Nations rugby, Wimbledon tennis and a weekly pub quiz & live music events hosted throughout the year.

Have to try: Quiz Night
Perfect for: Traditional pub goers
Approx price for 2 people: £50

Duke on the Green, Fulham

Duke on the Green is probably second to the White Horse as the most popular pub in Parsons Green. It’s also got a completely different vibe to the White Horse and draws in a different crowd. It’s more family-friendly and more relaxed than The White Horse.

We have two favourite things to do here at the Duke on the Green. The first is to grab a Bloody Mary on a Saturday where there’s a station so that you can season your own drink (incredible). The second is to take part in their pub quiz, which is always busy, competitive but also not impossible, so it’s actually very fun.

There’s also a little bit of seating out front which catches a lot of sun, so it’s a nice spot to people watch. Have a few drinks here, grab some food and if you fancy it head over to The White Horse for a more vibey time.

Have to try: A Bloody Mary
Perfect for: Pub quiz fans

The Sands End, Fulham

The Sands End is the perfect neighbourhood pub of Sands End in Fulham. Tucked away on a corner it’s a small pub, never too busy and is perfect for a drink or three.

The Sands End has actually changed hands a lot in the last 5 years so the food quality has varied. The new owners Butcombe Brewery own some of the best gastropubs in the UK so we expect big things when it comes to their menu.

We love to get here early and sit outside (there’s only 4-5 tables) and bask in the sun. Their sausage rolls always impress us as well!

Have to try: Their sausage roll
Perfect for: A good chat with an old friend
Approx price for 2 people: £25

The Atlas, Fulham

Located on the West Brompton side of Fulham, The Atlas is a seriously nice pub with a cracking beer garden.

We love to come here sometimes for the food and sometimes to take advantage of their beer garden which is a serious sun trap. You have to get down there early to get a decent place in the beer garden as it does get busy quickly.

This is a no-nonsense pub that’s perfect for a catch up with friends, a date and a place to take the parents or grandparents for a drink before dinner.

The closest tube is West Brompton and not Fulham Broadway, so make sure you plan ahead.

Have to try: Crab linguine
Perfect for: A drink with your family
Approx price for 2 people: £70 with food

McGettigans, Fulham

McGettigans is an Irish bar just outside Fulham Broadway station and is a prime spot for a post-work pint.

This little stop-in has everything you’d expect – household named lagers, large screens for spot, rapid service and tables at the back for anyone that fancies a bite.

It’s also a great place to head before a Chelsea game as you’ll be able to reach the stadium in just 5 minutes!

Have to try: A quick pint before the football
Perfect for: Matchdays
Approx price for 2 people: £20

The Goose, Fulham

The Goose, located on the North End Road so perfectly located between both West Brompton and Fulham Broadway stations, is your typical high street pub that offers great food and drink at very reasonable prices.

It serves up an unbeatable atmosphere that really comes into its own in the evening with live sports, live music and a late licence.

That means you can enjoy The Goose at any time of the day! It opens from 10am for full English breakfast lovers, every day of the week.

Have to try: Full English Breakfast
Perfect for: Early starts
Approx price for 2 people: £30
