The Best Healthy Restaurants in London

It’s hard to know where to find the best healthy restaurants in London – especially when the usual chains we know are everywhere. We keep going back even though we know they’re full of rubbish.

And honestly, if it’s hard to find healthy food, why even bother? Fair question. Healthy food has a bad rep – especially when you’re being charged £12 for a sad box of leaves. Unsatisfying and just not worth it.

This list avoids that. These are our top picks for healthy spots in London where you don’t compromise flavour or satisfaction. The ultimate comfort meals with health at the forefront. Perfect for a lunchtime pick-me-up or a wholesome dinner that still feels like a treat.

Mallow

Located in both Borough Market and Canary Wharf, Mallow is a vegan restaurant. The goal is to provide healthy, satisfying food in the most sustainable way they can.

Let’s be real- the phrase “100% plant-based” usually makes people sprint in the opposite direction. But Mallow prioritises making plant-based food exciting, satisfying, and impressive.

We started off with the mojo rojo croquettes, which were perfectly crispy on the outside and came with an aioli so good we had to shamelessly ask for two extra pots.

For mains, the cauliflower curry was rich, flavourful, and honestly tasted like it had been marinating for days. Who knew cauliflower could carry flavour like that? Definitely not us. We paired it with the fragrant basmati rice which was soft, fluffy, and the perfect little sidekick.

If you’re skeptical about vegan food or just tired of the same old veggie options, Mallow will absolutely change your mind.

Holy Carrot

Some of you probably wish this place was called Holy Cow instead – but trust, you won’t miss the meat here. At all. The thing about veggie spots is they know they need to impress the meat-lovers, so they really go all in on flavour. Holy Carrot nails it.

The ambience is super chill and airy. They have a range of smaller and larger plates so can sort you out whether you’re popping in for a quick bite or settling in for a long, lazy dinner.

If you’re quite hungry and wanting something super satisfying, get the aubergine focaccia sandwich. It’s absolutely stacked with stracciatella, sweet tomatoes, garlic, and smoky aubergine.

They’ve got all the juice and smoothie options if you’re on your wellness game. But, if it’s been one of those weeks, grab a crisp glass of white. It’ll pair with pretty much everything, and no one’s judging.

Mildred's

You’ve definitely heard of Mildreds. It has several stores across London and somehow still underrated.

If you’re after a guilt-free overindulgence or a tapas style, mix-and-match lunch, this place delivers. We started out with the salsa macha hummus and pitta (because if there’s hummus on the menu, it’s happening). Kept it light on the starters because it was lunch, but next time the lime leaf corn ribs are getting ordered immediately. They sound unreal.

Now for the main event – the Korean fried chick’n burger. You’re definitely questioning how that counts as healthy right now, but let’s face the facts. It’s a far better shout than that McChicken you were about to inhale that’s 75% mystery meat and 25% regret.

They also do a plant-based Sunday roast. This may offend the purists, but can’t you say you’re at least intrigued.

Mildreds is a solid 10/10 and if you’re still sleeping on it, wake up.

Farm Girl

Another one you’ve 100% scrolled past on TikTok or seen on someone’s Insta story – Farm Girl. It’s a girly, cutesy brunch spot that actually lives up to the hype.

We popped in for brunch, but low-key the lunch menu looked so good. And no, it’s not some painfully strict vegan place. They do serve meat and eggs, just in a more health-conscious way. We get it – calling yourself a brunch place and only offering tofu scramble is actually illegal.

The breakfast bowls and pancakes looked dreamy too- and best of all, zero guilt attached. You can add on whatever you like: greek yogurt, fruit, honey, granola- you name it. It’s super custom and low-pressure.

The menu had a wide range of lunch sandwiches where the ingredient list read like a novella. This screams green flag because you know you’re not just getting two sad leaves and a slice of tomato in a dry ciabatta. Thoughtful, stacked, and delicious.

Megan's

Megan’s is probably the least controversial choice you’ll find – everyone’s happy here. Whether you’re a meat lover, veggie, vegan, they’ve got you.

We went for dinner, and the vibe inside is the perfect combo of cute and cosy. It has fairy lights giving it that warm relaxing feel, and it’s not cramped either, so you’re not elbow-to-elbow with strangers.

We ordered the sharing platter. This came stacked with hot honey halloumi, feta parcels, pita chips basically, a picky bits lover’s dream.

Did we need the cheese fondue after that? Absolutely not. Did we order it anyway? Obviously. And honestly it was probably one of the best things we tried. Bread and cheese is always a win.

If you’re trying to stay a little more health-conscious (unlike us that night), they’ve got loads of lighter Mediterranean dishes too. For example, spicy grilled chicken or open kebabs packed with hummus and salad. Super flavourful and not stingy on the portions at all.

Have to try: the original Turkish cheese fondue

KIN London

Back on the vegan vibes again, but trust, KIN is worth it. This place serves food that tastes so fresh. It’s for real – doesn’t just look good on Instagram and leaves you starving 10 minutes later.

It’s a super cosy, lowkey spot in Fitzrovia. It’s perfect for when you want a more chill, intimate dinner without sacrificing flavour. We started out with the corn and pepper soup, which was soothing, comforting, and perfect for lining your stomach before getting into the mains.

Speaking of mains, we went for the courgette and pistachio spaghetti. It sounds a bit out there, but the waiter strongly recommended it – and they were right. It was hearty enough to feel like a proper meal but still giving “I’m doing something good for my body.”  We added the smoked red pepper relish for an extra kick and it just took the dish to another level.

If you’re easing your way into plant-based food or just want something that feels homemade but elevated, head straight to KIN.

Malibu Kitchen

Malibu Kitchen at The Ned basically said “you want that LA health girl vibe?” and delivered

The menu is a bit chaotic in the best way. Not sure what the theme is (California? Coastal? Global wellness fusion?) but we just rolled with it. We started with the sea bass ceviche which was so fresh and had  zero fishiness.

Then we went for the brick chicken, which came with this spicy mayo that tied everything together perfectly.

There’s also loads of options if you’re leaning more veg like poke bowls, salads, grilled veggie mains. We had to order the sweet potato fries because balance is key, and they were unreal. Crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside.

Definitely a spot for when you want to feel healthy but still satisfied. Also if you want to maybe pretend you’re brunching in West Hollywood.

Granger & Co.

When you come here you’ll forget all about your usual greasy spoon. Granger and Co is health, taste, and aesthetic all wrapped up in one dreamy brunch spot. Once you try it, it’s hard to go back.

We went for the egg brioche roll, which came with a mango chutney which was delicious and so fresh. We added halloumi (because obviously), and the whole combo was chef’s kiss. The sweetness of the chutney, the salty halloumi, the runny egg. Unmatched.

And yes, we had breakfast dessert, we just had to. The Greek yoghurt bowl was calling. It came with crunchy, nutty granola and the most boujee apricot and thyme compote. You could try to recreate it at home… but it just wouldn’t hit the same.

Perfect for a wholesome but flavour-packed start to the day

Rovi

Rovi is one of those places that’s effortlessly classy. It’s definitely on the higher end, price-wise, but they don’t let the “elegance” kill the flavour. If anything, they’ve mastered both.

The menu is seasonal, which we love, because it keeps things fresh and stops you ordering the same thing out of habit. You’ll always find something new and unexpected.

That said, there are some faves that stick around, like the burrata, which always ends up on our table no matter what. It’s the kind of place that’s made for sharing, so don’t come here expecting massive mains (although they do have some). The tapas-style pick-n-mix is 100% the way to go.

And if you’re not here purely for the health kick? Good. Their drinks menu is long, fun, and pairs perfectly with the picky bits vibe they’ve got going on.

Octagreen

Probably the most out there healthy spot so far. The menu truly does take you around the world.

They do breakfast, but it’s more your classic avocado-toast-and-eggs sitch. The real magic happens at lunch and dinner. We went for the halal jerk chicken thighs which were absolutely bursting with flavour and the meat was so tender.

To balance it out we shared the mango and avocado salad on the side — it came with this lemon and dill dressing that was the perfect combo of sweet, citrusy, and so fresh.

They also run special deals and even have a bottomless option for under £20 on certain days (we love a budget-friendly moment). If you want something fun, full of flavour, and not your basic salad bar – this is the one.
